Metro Card |
Card is free for a limited time. Card will come with NO fare or cash value. The Metro Card is a long-term use, smart card that allows users to add money to their card at nearly 100 vendors throughout Colorado Springs. Users can add value to the Metro Card using cash and debit or credit cards. Metro Card users can establish accounts via Mountain Metropolitan Transit’s website or RideMMT app to add funds and monitor account balances as well as tracking multiple Metro Cards on a single account – this feature is especially helpful for families or care groups managing multiple Metro Cards.
Using the Metro Card is equally easy - users simply tap the Metro Card on validators when entering the bus. A one-way fare is then deducted from the account. The Metro Card saves users money by automatically capping fares for daily and monthly use. Fare capping provides users the benefit of multi-use discounts while paying fares incrementally ride by ride. Special fares are available for youth, seniors, Medicare users, and people with disabilities.
